Come October, there will be another vacant retail spot dotting the Upper East Side. Nina Griscom’s namesake boutique at 958 Lexington Avenue — chockablock with exotic interior decor pieces — will soon be shuttered after five years.

“I have decided to close my business because my lease is up in October and the rent is going up,” says Griscom. “I will really miss having the store. I had a wonderful time buying the products we sold. Maybe some time in the future I will do something like this again, but it’s time to try something new.”

That would include working on the tentatively titled book “Hanging Out a Lamb: Entertaining With Nina Griscom,” whose roughly 10 chapters will be devoted to recipes, photography and hostess advice based on parties Griscom is throwing at home in New York, Millbrook and Southampton. And in keeping with the culinary theme, she will be a guest judge on the next season of “Iron Chef” — she has already shot two episodes.

“I adored being back at the Food Network, and would love to work there again,” says Griscom, who was once a co-host with Alan Richman of the channel’s “Dining Around” series. “I don’t have any [other] specific plans for TV yet, but I am working with my agent to find the right fit. Maybe a show on entertaining — who knows?”
