LONDON — The English summer social season is just around the corner, and with the need for all the millinery, floaty dresses and top hats and tails, it’s no wonder the Brits are focusing on the finer things.
“Matthew’s more into them than me,” said Noelle Reno, ogling the glittering jewels alongside Matthew Mellon at Garrard’s spring party Thursday. “But who am I kidding? No woman’s going to say no to a diamond, right?”
Garrard invited guests including Jade Jagger, Max Wigram, Poppy and Daisy de Villeneuve, Poppy Delevigne, Jaime Winstone, Natalie Dormer, James Purefoy, Tom Hollander, Max Irons, Otis Ferry and Linzi and Tom Stoppard to its Albemarle Street flagship to see the latest Kaleidoscope of Color collection and listen to DJ Otis Ferry‘s tunes.
Purefoy and Hollander hung out by the bar. “I’m not here for the diamonds,” said the cheeky Purefoy. “I’m just here for the free gin and tonic.”
But the partying wasn’t over for the two revelers, who later hightailed it south of the Thames to the Young Vic Theatre to attend a gala performance of “Vernon God Little,” and the after party.
