Glenn Close, Vanessa Redgrave, Mamie Gummer, Claire Danes, Hugh Dancy and Patrick Wilson mingled with the likes of Caroline Kennedy, Regis Philbin, Edie Falco, Virginia Madsen, Olympia Scarry, Felicity Huffman and Christy Turlington at a screening of “Evening” on Monday night, co-sponsored by Donna Karan.
“We’re just star watching,” said Molly Shannon at the after-party held at The Bowery Hotel.
Indeed, the wattage was high enough for even Bruce Weber to pull out his camera and start shooting the actresses in attendance.
The film—a story of friendship, loss and first love—had some guests waxing nostalgic. “I was four, his name was Nick,” said Rachel Weisz of her first romance. “He pulled an apple from a tree for me.”
“He was a guy who lived down the hall from me in college,” offered Gummer. “Typical.”
