PARIS — Forget eye cream: Stylist Katie Grand said her favorite beauty product is Viviscal hair pills.
“I get really stressed over the shows, and it stops my hair [from] falling out,” she related Wednesday night at a cocktail party held at a hôtel particulier on Paris’ Right Bank to celebrate Marc Jacobs Beauty’s launch in Europe. “It used to be only available over the Internet, and now you can get it everywhere in the U.K.”

The Jacobs line is to come out on Thursday in Sephora in France and the Marc by Marc shop in Paris, after having already been launched in North America and the Middle East. Also set to be unveiled that day exclusively in Sephora’s Paris flagship on the Champs-Élysées is Marc Jacobs Beauty’s new advertising, featuring Jessica Lange.

At the party, revelers shared tips for looking good amidst the zaniness of fashion week.
“My beauty secret is drinking lots of water and getting a good night’s sleep,” confided makeup artist Diane Kendal. “I am definitely an eight-hour person. And of course, I take care of my skin, like I moisturize.”
“I wash my face every day,” David Sims — who photographed the Lange ad — said, with a laugh.
Hairstylist Guido Palau has no particular beauty secret while rushing from backstage to backstage. But after show season, he said: “It’s very balanced — sleep, eating properly and exercising.”
Meanwhile, model Edie Campbell, who featured in the last Marc Jacobs Beauty ad, said her favorite beauty product is “toothpaste, probably — or maybe dental floss.”
