The Cast of ‘Versailles’ Kicks Off Its U.S. Debut With ‘Opulence, Mystique and Passion’ at Bagatelle
The recent spate of burgeoning bellies in Hollywood all but ensured a glam turnout for Baby2Baby’s second annual gala at The Book Bindery in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Serving families in need of diapers and other baby-centric essentials, the charity, led by copresidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein; board members Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie and Julie Bowen, and patrons Jessica Capshaw, Molly Sims, Rebecca Gayheart, Jenni Kayne, Busy Philipps, Sara Foster and Rachel Zoe, honored philanthropic mom Drew Barrymore.

“It’s such a good business model. If you are a mom and you are a decent person, you are going to want to give. This organization makes it very easy to get your stuff to the right people. They should have one in every city,” Barrymore said.
The event raised over $1 million on the spot with the help of credit card scanners at each table and Bowen’s onstage wrangling, or as she termed it “doing my best Oprah.”
It was the rare event where husbands came along willingly, in no small part because of the celebrity chef food stations. “My husband is so hungry that as soon as they opened the dinner doors he dragged me in here to beat the lines,” Phillips said of the spread including booths from Michael Voltaggio’s Ink, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo’s Animal and Son of a Gun and Ludo Lefebvre’s Trois Mec.
“I feel like I’m living out my ‘Top Chef’ fantasy,” Barrymore giggled.
