HOUSE HONORS: Bailey House commemorated its 30th year of working to house homeless men and women living with HIV and AIDS at its annual auction and gala on Thursday night at New York’s Pier 60. Wendy Williams, Jane Pauley, Alex McCord, Amy Fine Collins, Phillip Bloch, David and Susan Rockefeller and Tom Duane — the first openly gay and recently retired New York state senator — browsed auction items after the early dinner, while Patrick Robinson, John Bartlett, Lynn Ban and Carmen Marc Valvo filled out a strong designer presence. “I’m pretty much ‘Macbeth’ to the max right now,” said honoree Alan Cumming. He was “exhausted” from an all-day rehearsal for the one-man show, which will bow at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on April 7. “I love organizations that just do very basic things like [Bailey House], which gives people a roof over their head, and God’s Love We Deliver, which just gives people food,” he said. “There’s not so much bureaucracy and nebulousness; it’s really very basic, very primal and very crucial.” Julie Gilhart and Harlan Bratcher, A|X Armani Exchange chief executive officer who had just been honored with the Rand Harlan Skolnick Corporate Social Responsibility Award, mingled near photographic works by Herb Ritts, William Wegman and Robert Mapplethorpe.
