The dinner and after party Valentino threw for its creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli at the Soho House in Los Angeles on Thursday night drew Milla Jovovich, Jordana Brewster, Sanaa Lathan, Liz Goldwyn, Shiva Rose, Brooke Davenport, Amber Valletta, Jamie Tisch and Crystal Lourd to the club’s living room for canapés and a performance by hipster band Chief. Piccioli snapped his own pictures while co-hosts Kate Bosworth and Chloë Sevigny, Noot Seear, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, Gia Coppola, Alexis Bledel and Zelda Williams stood up front to dance.
“Valentino rocks!” shouted the Chief’s Mike Moonves over and over. And rocking out in Valentino fashions isn’t always easy: Sevigny had momentarily forgotten the top of her dress was made of delicate fishnet lace, and tore her sleeve early on. “Luckily, they were able to stitch me back up,” she said.
