CHARMED BRACELET: Carolina Herrera is lending a hand. The designer has created a bracelet — a navy leather wraparound that will retail for $50 at CH Carolina Herrera stores — for Project Paz, which promotes educational initiatives for underprivileged children in Juárez, Mexico.
The collaboration was toasted on Tuesday night at the CH Carolina Herrera flagship in Manhattan. The social front-row contingent turned hosting committee — Sofía Sanchez Barrenechea, Valerie Boster, Giovanna Campagna, Eugenia Gonzalez, Amanda Hearst and Paula Mendoza — welcomed guests eager to get their hands on the limited-edition accessory (so limited, in fact, that some attendees had called ahead of time to reserve one of the store’s stock of 60).

“This bracelet has a little heart, a CH,” Herrera explained, showing off hers, wrapped several times around her dainty wrist. “I believe in what [Project Paz] is doing, and I want to help them. We need peace in the world — everywhere.”
For many attendees, the cause hits close to home. “I’m from Latin America, so I know what it is to have kids in the street,” said Sanchez Barrenechea. Boster also attributes her involvement with the project partially to her roots in El Salvador.
Although the bracelets were allocated for purchase, guests received several (presumably) less wearable items from the CH collection as a gift on their way out — cookies, complete with the hashtag #CH4PAZ.
