Hollywood elite crowded the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Saturday night for the 32nd biannual Carousel of Hope Ball, and despite the gravity of the charity— $2.5 million was raised for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes—the evening was still completely entertaining. Guests including honorees Maria Shriver and Quincy Jones as well as Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Halle Berry and Adrien Brody watched as Jennifer Lopez sang “Let’s Get Loud” at the request of Randy Jackson. Later, rapper Akon wowed the crowd when he dedicated his hit “Sexy B—-” to hostess and septuagenarian Barbara Davis. Rod Stewart and Clive Davis got a kick out of it and dance along to the song.

But if Barbara is a “sexy b—” where does that leave someone like Jane Fonda?
“I came to support Barbara,” said Fonda, a longtime friend of Davis’s. “But I also came because it’s a great party!”
