Childrens’ charity Free Arts NYC, which provides public school kids with arts education, got a hefty amount of celeb endorsements on Friday night when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Sean Avery, Kelly Klein, Rachel Roy, and Jason Wu and Hilary Rhoda attended its annual auction at Saatchi and Saatchi in Tribeca. The evening, which was sponsored by Vanity Fair and David Yurman, included both a live auction (lead by Simon de Pury) as well as a silent one of photographs, paintings and sculptures alike.

Avery, who heard about Free Arts from friend Amy Sacco, admitted he was in a little over his head. “I’m trying to pretend I know about art,” said the hockey player, as he placed a bid on an item.
