A tiny Princess Leia, Thomas the Tank Engine and Max from “Where the Wild Things Are” all roamed the courtyard of Ladurée and Bonpoint in SoHo on Saturday afternoon. It was the brands’ second annual Halloween celebration, and the likes of Drew Barrymore, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Gucci Westman and Olivia Chantecaille brought their mini- to the party. “This is such an adorable spot,” said Martha Stewart, who came with her grandchildren. She wasn’t dressed up, but had plans to attend Allison Serafim’s Halloween blowout that evening, dressed as a Golden Girl. “I go all out for Halloween, as you can imagine,” she said.
Westman, who was tapped to host the event, certainly went all out for her geisha costume. “Actually I’m a gei-Chanel,” she said, explaining that she borrowed from the brand for her look. The Revlon makeup artist also sported an all-white face and bright red lips. “I haven’t worn lipstick since I was maybe 20,” she said. “It’s so weird to do my own makeup.” As if in fashion week mode (Westman often does the makeup for Rag & Bone, Oscar de la Renta, Creatures of the Wind and more), she reported that she prepped her skin with By Terry illuminator (“because I wanted my skin to not feel so cakey…”), followed by theatrical white makeup from Mehron, Cleu de Peu powder, Chanel blush, Saint Laurent lipstick, and NARS eyeliner. Her daughter, nearby, also got Westman’s expert face paint for her bunny costume. “[At first] she wanted to be a tooth, and she asked if I could be toothpaste,” Westman said. “I think it’s because she was at the dentist recently and she has two tiny, loose teeth. So teeth are on the mind.”
