FEMININE FETE: A bevy of prime time’s leading ladies were in attendance at Elle magazine’s fifth annual Women in Television dinner soiree at Sunset Tower Tuesday evening. “Modern Family” actress Sarah Hyland was first to walk the red carpet — or rather, tile floor — before heading inside the intimate venue to link up with her on-screen mom, Julie Bowen. Others, including Amanda Peet, Jaime King, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Brittany Snow, Juliette Lewis, Maria Menounos, Kate Walsh, Nina Dobrev, Allison Tolman, and Regina King also stepped out for the event, sponsored by Hearts on Fire Diamonds and Olay.
Elle’s honoree of the evening and February cover girl, Lena Dunham, apparently feeling under the weather, avoided the press hullabaloo and mingled with guests tableside. It has been a busy few weeks for the 28-year-old actress/writer/director, whose HBO series “Girls” earned her two 2015 Golden Globe nominations was recently renewed for a fifth season.
“I think [Girls] is kind of like Sex and the City… every woman has watched an episode or two,” King said. “Lena has created a statement that all women are fearless and fierce.”
