After hobnobbing with Prince Charles at a royal reception to kick off the London men’s collections at St. James’s Palace on Thursday night, Tommy Hilfiger hopped over to The Scotch to host his own event feting the inaugural men’s shows.
Matthew Goode, Petra Nemcova, Tali Lennox and Mary Charteris were among guests crowded into the tiny bar to toast the men’s collections with Brit-themed cocktails, such as Hard Day’s Night, a mix of vodka and cloudy apple juice.

Hilfiger said while he’s known as a quintessentially American designer, England is “very close to my heart, and has always been a great source of inspiration as…the official birthplace of preppy style.”
The club has a more rock ’n’ roll history. Opened in 1965, it’s played host to Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, and reopened earlier this year after a refurbishment. While the designer’s guests partied well into the evening, Hilfiger’s stay in London was action-packed but short lived. The designer and wife Dee Ocleppo headed off to Monte Carlo on Friday.
