Hugo Boss hosted an after party for Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki after co-sponsoring their exhibition matches in the BNP Paribas Showdown at Madison Square Garden on Monday.
Federer, ranked third in the world, was fresh off a flight from Dubai for the match, which he lost to Roddick, ranked 31. However, earlier last weekend he won the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship and also completed a shoot with Mario Testino for an upcoming Rolex campaign. “It was a few weeks ago. I know Mario well. I’ve shot with him before. He’s a really good friend of mine,” said Federer, sporting a Yankees warm-up jacket at the Hugo Boss event.

Roddick credited the spirit of Jeremy Lin for his underdog victory in the high-spirited match, which was date night for courtside couples like Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor and John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. Roddick tweeted a photo of Lin’s locker, which he was using for the evening.
“My only time here before was on Wednesday when I went to the Knicks game. The crowd really got into it,” said Wozniacki, who brought her own boyfriend, top-ranked golfer Rory McIlroy, onto the court to play out a point against Sharapova, which he won. Wozniacki, ranked fourth in the world, had less luck and lost to Sharapova, ranked second.
“My only memory before this match today was coming to a so-called Britney Spears concert here a few years ago, which I’m not too fond of now. But I did have a great time when I was there,” said a feisty Sharapova of playing at MSG.
