On the New York Fashion Week party barometer, Diane von Furstenberg’s customary postshow dinner generally tends to be one of the week’s more mellow affairs, but Indochine was packed Sunday night, making it nearly impossible to navigate the restaurant’s narrow walkway with grace or couth.

Yvan Mispelaere, Carine Roitfeld, the Courtin-Clarins clan, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Amanda de Cadenet and Seth Meyers mingled over spring roll and crab cake hors d’oeuvres while Harley Viera-Newton held down the DJ booth.

Actress Hailee Steinfeld arrived shortly before a performance by the London-based singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas.

“This is my first New York Fashion Week,” Steinfeld said, her high ponytail falling over the shoulder of her black-and-white DVF dress. “It’s insane. It’s hectic, from one show to the next. I haven’t picked a favorite yet, but it’s been really fun.”

The most popular accessory of the night, worn by seven of the models in von Furstenberg’s runway show earlier that day and also by several partygoers — including Google cofounder Sergey Brin and Mayor Michael Bloomberg — was Glass by Google enhanced-reality eyewear.

“He had never been to a show,” von Furstenberg said of Brin. “So I told him, you have to come to mine. And a week later, he called me and said, ‘What if you did something at the show?’”

Von Furstenberg walked outside of the restaurant — reassuring the p.r. door girls that she was not leaving — to say goodbye to husband Barry Diller, who left the festivities a little early.

“I like the rain,” she said, stepping onto the sidewalk without an umbrella. “I like when my hair gets curly.” — Kristi Garced
