L’WREN TAKES L.A.: L’Wren Scott may have only had 48 hours in Los Angeles, but she made the most of it, commanding the entire space at Bouchon Beverly Hills for a Barneys New York-hosted dinner to fete her handbag line. “Nobody is happier about this dinner than me, because I really like it here, especially their french fries,” she said.

Scott found a kindred spirit in her celebrity host, Christina Hendricks, a foodie who recently started making her own cheese.

“I just want to say, from an Idaho girl to a Utah girl, it is an absolute pleasure to host this tonight,” she said. During the cocktail hour, Hendricks sampled the hors d’oeuvres with delight, proclaiming the mini pork belly and truffle BLT, “just right. A little truffle goes a long way.”

A healthy appetite works well with Scott’s curve-accentuating dresses, but even better with her bags, which don’t require a size.

“You can’t wear this out every day,” said Hendricks of her beaded sheath, “but you can carry a bag every day.” Jeanne Tripplehorn agreed. “L’Wren has a flattering way about her, she knows what makes women look great.” Other friends who came out to support Scott included Maria Shriver; Michael, Eva and Asia Chow; Shiva Rose; Liz Goldwyn, and Michele Hicks, who brought husband Jonny Lee Miller.
