STORE SOIRÉE: The Missoni family and friends gathered Tuesday night to celebrate the new Missoni flagship’s opening on Paris’ Rue Saint-Honoré.
Angela Missoni, who worked on the boutique design with Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola, said among her favorite things to do in Paris is visit flea markets, especially at the Porte de Vanves.
“When I go to the market, I’m not looking for something [particular]; I am looking for something to surprise me, whatever it is,” she said.
Her mother, Rosita Missoni, had introduced her to antiquing, starting with the vast one at Porte de Clignacourt.
Rosita Missoni, whose family members at the party also included Luca Missoni, Margherita Missoni and Teresa Missoni, got a bear hug from Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz.
“I’ve known her for many, many years, and we do many conferences together,” said the designer. ”I just had to come and give her a hug, and say congratulations. But more than anything – just to hug her and to kiss her, to tell her I love her. That’s all. “
Soko was in town from Los Angeles to promote her new record, called “My Dreams Dictate My Reality,” coming out next month with Because Music.
And Jérémy Kapone said he’s recording an album, whose title is “10:43,” in a studio in the north of Paris. It’s expected for release in May.
