REPOSSI POSSY: “It’s such an effort getting into the Ritz these days with all the police,” sniffed Karl Lagerfeld, striding into the presentation of Ere by Repossi’s latest jewelry collection, Nérée, on Wednesday night. It was inspired by a recent trip by the brand’s co-designers, Gaia Repossi and Eugenie Niarchos, to Japan. Giving a tour, Repossi disclosed purple lacquered gold versions of the pieces, which feature floral and wave motifs, have been ordered by Colette.
Model Lily Donaldson, who said she was banking on an early night, sported one of the brand’s ornate long lacelike rings in black gold, as did Mary-Kate Olsen, in pink gold. “I’m a ring girl,” she said, wiggling her fingers. As trays of cocktails and mini cheeseburgers whirred by, guests including Tatiana Santo Domingo, Loulou de la Falaise, Andrea Casiraghi, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Sean Lennon and André and Delfina Delettrez, poured out onto the site’s courtyard to smoke cigarettes in the rain.
