Tommy Hilfiger and British GQ editor Dylan Jones co-hosted a dinner at the recently opened Ivy Market Grill, the new branch of The Ivy, where guests included Robert Konjic, Oliver Cheshire, David Gandy, Christian Cooke and Tracey Emin.
Hilfiger was certainly feeling the love for London. “There are so many amazing restaurants; I love the Indian restaurants here.” He admitted, however, he hasn’t been to the high-end Gymkhana in Mayfair. “Oh, that might be too posh for me,” he said. “I like a gritty Indian restaurant. There’s a place on Cromwell Road called The Delhi Brasserie. I love it there, but it’s not a very fancy place.”
Hollywood style maven Andrew Weitz said he was jealous of all the British accents in the room. “If I could have any accent, I’d choose English. But posh English, like royalty,” he said. “When I was 13, I wanted to get a dialect coach so I could sound British. But I probably would have sounded like an idiot, so I’m glad that didn’t happen.”
Pop starlet Pixie Lott, meanwhile, was sporting an unusually curly head of hair. “I had it blown out yesterday, but I got caught in the rain and the wind — and a snow machine — and this happened, so I’m just going with it,” she said.
