Intimate retail spaces make for packed parties, as was the case Tuesday night at the fete toasting Tory Burch’s store opening on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. “We did it,” exclaimed a relieved Ahna O’Reilly when she made it through the throng crowding the first-floor foyer. On the second floor, Q-Tip was DJing, and there was enough room for Rashida Jones, Emmy Rossum and Eva Amurri to shimmy to “Rapper’s Delight.”
On the third floor, Jaime King, Jessica Alba, Brad Goreski and Liberty Ross squeezed into the patio to check out the Lisa Eisner short showcasing the Southern California-inspired capsule collection Burch designed to mark the new flagship. “This reminds me of old Hollywood. I love that we have an outdoor space,” said Burch. “It’s funny. Rodeo has been on our mind for so long, and we wanted to wait until we found the right location. We are so happy we waited.”

Certainly, the store proved intriguing to partygoers perusing merchandise during the festivities. “She has great shoes. I love her sweaters. I love her skirts. I love her bags. I kind of want everything,” gushed Kiernan Shipka. “Her designs are so easy to wear and so versatile,” Brooklyn Decker said. “She can dress so many different styles. She can dress tomboy, girly girl, the conservative and the eclectic, and I love that about her.” Camila Alves, sans hubby Matthew McConaughey, was thrilled to be wearing a comfortable Tory Burch sheath after sporting more constrictive fare for the Golden Globes. “It’s very relaxing and chill,” she sighed.
