“For years I’ve been watching these students – and recruiting them. This is the greatest fashion school in the world,” said Donatella Versace, who hosted a dinner Thursday night at the Connaught Hotel in London to unveil the Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fashion Fund. “No one ever thinks these schools need money – but they do!”

Guests included January Jones, Rupert Everett, Dominic Cooper, Nick Rhodes, Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Camilla Al Fayed, Pixie Lott, Poppy Delevigne, Roland Mouret, Christopher Kane and Stephen Jones. They packed out the hotel bar before dinner, swilling Champagne and grazing on olives and corn nuts.

Jones, who’s been in London since September shooting “X-Men,” said she’s been spending her downtime shopping.

“You know where I go – all the clichés – Topshop and great vintage shops,” she said.

Over the next months, filming will move to an island off the coast of Georgia. “I’m definitely looking forward to different weather!” she said.
