John and Laura Pomerantz will be honored Monday by the American Jewish Committee as the recipients of this year’s National Human Relations Award.
John Pomerantz is president of JJP Advisory LLC and former chairman and chief executive officer of Leslie Fay, and Laura Pomerantz is principal and founding partner of PBS Realty Advisors LLC. The couple will be feted at a reception at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla., at 4 p.m. Sen. Nan H. Rich of Florida is the guest speaker, and David A. Harris, executive director of the AJC, is the keynote speaker.

“They are being honored for their generosity and their communal activities, which have been tremendous. They are well-respected leaders,” said Jaime Kelstein, national director of development at the AJC.
Pomerantz is former chairman of the board of the undergraduate college of the University of Pennsylvania; a founder of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; a trustee emeritus of the Fashion Institute of Technology, and co-chairman of the Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries. Laura Pomerantz has been a member of the Carnegie Hall board of trustees and sits on the board of the Richard Tucker Foundation and Women in Need.
