“The food here is to die for,” Aussie actress Melissa George reported Wednesday night at LES locale Los Feliz, where Shopbop.com hosted a dinner for new brand Barlow. Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick were among the guests feasting on mini crab tostadas, red snapper ceviche and Coco-Cola braised pork to fete the new line from Cynthia Vincent’s former design assistant Molly Girard Coonan.
“When I was in middle school I looked like a boy,” Coonan said. “I’ve always loved sweatpants. I’ve always loved track shorts. I’ve just figured out a way to take those elements and make them hot.” “She really seems to have her niche carved out well,” said Badgley, who met the designer through his “Gossip Girl” co-star Jessica Szohr three years ago. “I remember when she was living in New York and she was talking about getting this all started. It’s really amazing to see it come full circle.”

After dinner, George started the dance party, rocking out to tunes spun by Cassie Coane and Harley Viera Newton. “I love Shopbop but I’m a huge eBay-er,” Viera-Netwon admitted. “Ebay will be the death of me. I literally get home and go on eBay and buy things I don’t need whatsoever.”
