The anticipation was palpable at the premiere of the latest James Bond flick, “Quantum of Solace,” which was screened Tuesday night at the AMC Lincoln Square as part of the Tribeca Film Institute’s annual benefit. Not only was Bond himself, Daniel Craig, present along with his co-star and benefit co-chair Jeffrey Wright, but there were also some serious groupies.

At the party afterward at Tavern on the Green, Tribeca heads Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal were joined by hundreds of guests, including André Balazs, Julia Stiles, Serena Altschul, Liya Kebede and Jon Hamm of “Mad Men,” for a massive buffet dinner that was a little more bar mitzvah than Bond. It didn’t affect anyone’s enjoyment of the film — or its star. As she took her seat, Messing swooned, “Daniel Craig is the sexiest James Bond.”
Patricia Duff was inclined to agree. “I’m not so much a James Bond fan,” she said. “But I’m a Sean Connery fan and a Daniel Craig fan.”
