Chic of the Week

Chic of the Week.

Audrey Tautou charmed the crowd gathered at Soho House Tuesday night for dual screenings of her new film, “Dirty Pretty Things,” not once, but twice. First came Tautou’s gritty on-screen portrayal of a Turkish chambermaid working in a hotel and struggling through the city’s immigrant underground. Then, delicately dressed in Alberta Ferretti, came her live appearance in the club’s library, where she mingled with such cineophiles as Sophie Dahl, Famke Janssen, Ann and Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Cynthia Rowley, Ilene Rosenzweig and Miramax kingpin Harvey Weinstein.

“We don’t cheat people by saying that this movie is clever and sincere,” Tautou decided, giving the film a well-considered thumbs-up. “I’d never say it was good if it wasn’t. It’s worth a $10 ticket.”
