Marjorie Gubelmann opened her Upper East Side apartment Tuesday night for an intimate affair honoring Roberta Armani, cover girl of the coffee table book “Inheriting Beauty.” Kerry Washington, Poppy Delevingne, Jeff Klein and Alessandro Nivola all swung by, but this being Gubelmann’s turf, the evening was no casual soiree. Midway through the decadent meal of veal saltimbocca, Tory Burch said to the hostess, “I can’t stop staring at your neck.” Gubelmann, who was sporting a serious diamond drop necklace, replied, “Me neither. I’m getting cross-eyed. It’s very ‘at home,’ don’t you think?”
After dinner, Armani led the charge to the foyer-turned-dance floor and boogied to Rihanna tunes ‘til midnight.
