New Yorkers got the chance to see the city through rose colored-glasses on Thursday night, at a “La Vie en Rouge”-themed event celebrating the 60th anniversary of Dior Beauty lipstick. Gigi Mortimer, Tory Burch, Christine Schwarzman and Rachel Roy were on hand for the fete, which was hosted by Rena Sindi and held at the LVMH tower. In keeping with the evening’s theme, guests dined at ruby lip-shaped tables, munched on lip-shaped cookies and were instructed to wear pinks and reds—a directive attendees followed, for the most part. “I did not get the red memo,” lamented Roy, who had selected basic black for the occasion. (At least the designer was in good company: Charlotte Ronson and Shoshanna Gruss also arrived in black ensembles. Tinsley Mortimer wore blue.)

“The only thing that’s going to erupt tonight is the dance floor.”
Indeed, Dior beauty ambassador and DJ Harley Viera Newton kept guests dancing to Kanye West and Cyndi Lauper long after dessert.
