Naomi did it. Claudia did it. Now Kate Moss and Veruschka are doing it. Not modeling. Writing. “Kate” (Pavillion Books), due out in April, is a look at the supermodel through the lenses of the world’s top photographers. “It’s a segment of fashion photography from the late Eighties to today,” said Simon Chambers of Storm, Moss’s London agency. Kate will write the introduction. Veruschka, meanwhile, in the wake of a comeback season (she walked the runways at Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel, Mugler and Paco Rabanne in October) is working on “Veruschka in New York,” a photo book of the mannequin wearing outfits created exclusively for her by such designers as Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Thierry Mugler and students from Studio Bercot. The photos will be taken around Manhattan by Hubertus Ilse.
Woody Allen paid a visit to the Chanel boutique on 57th Street the other day — not for Christmas shopping, but for shooting. He and co-star Mira Sorvino shot a scene for his next movie, which he’s been filming all around the city this fall, where he buys her a bottle of Chanel No. 5. “Ooooh!” is her response. “Chanel No. 5!”
