HANNAH AND HER FEATURES: Hannah Rothschild, documentary filmmaker and eldest daughter of Lord Jacob Rothschild, will be speaking this week at the Getty in L.A. on behalf of her charity, “Artists in Film,” and she’s just optioned her first feature-length screenplay to Ridley Scott. The film, a “high concept comedy” called “Gene Machine,” is about a young sperm donor whose “past comes back to haunt him 20 years later,” Rothschild says (likely the walking, talking, grown kid kind of past). Scott, who’s better known as a director, will produce, and Rothschild will direct. “Lots and lots of directors started in documentaries,” she says. “It just comes down to telling the story well.”
