HOSTESS WITH THE MOST: America’s number-one fashion fan, Sarah Jessica Parker, has signed on to serve as host of the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s annual CFDA Fashion Awards June 2 at the New York Public Library. In keeping with last year’s ceremony, the event will be scaled down. But Parker’s participation ensures that it will also be an upscale affair. After all, during the six seasons she’s played Carrie Bradshaw on HBO’s “Sex and the City,” Parker has championed some of the edgiest looks to hit the runway.
“Sarah Jessica Parker has had such a great influence on American fashion,” said Peter Arnold, the CFDA’s executive director. “She is the perfect host of an evening that celebrates the designers and individuals being honored at our awards ceremony.”
