She arrived with Annette de la Renta at the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Bazaar for some holiday shopping and even dispensed a little style advice. “Evening bags should never have handles,” she declared as she eyed some bags for sale. “They should always be clutches.”
KATZ MEOW: Jewelry — and especially pieces designed by Martin Katz — are on the holiday wish lists of New York’s chicest socialites this season. Ginny Bond Donahue threw a Christmas shopping party in honor of her “favorite jeweler” for friends like Alexandra Shiva and Alex Kramer at his showroom near Rockefeller Center on Wednesday night. It coincided perfectly with another glittering event: the annual lighting of the Christmas tree.

THEME THRONG: The theme is yet to be unveiled, but it will surely be a lively night at the old Frick museum if John Galliano has his way. Christian Dior’s mastermind will apply his curious creativity to planning the museum’s annual Winter Fete this February, ganging up with co-chairs Marina Rust, Lauren duPont, Nathalie Kaplan and Aerin Lauder.
