PALACE CHIC: Prince Charles is moving into his late grandmother’s palace in London, Clarence House, which needs about $5 million of government-funded redecorating since the Queen Mother hadn’t spent a pence on it in decades (typically Windsor-esque). And who’s he getting to do the decorating? None other than Charles’ favorite Robert Kime, who also decorated his country house Highgrove. Charles’ move to Clarence House is one of several royal moves — his brother the Duke of York has sold his ugly house, Sunningdale, and is due to move into Royal Lodge on the grounds of Windsor Castle. It, too, needs millions spent on redecorating. Another Kime commission ahead?
