Eye Scoop: He Loves the Nightlife

A tasty scoop.

HE LOVES THE NIGHTLIFE: Goya Foods heir apparent Andy Unanue, 36, who was ousted from his role as the company’s chief operating officer by two cousins earlier this year, is opting for a more glamorous vocation: nightlife impresario. Unanue recently purchased a former S&M club on West 13th Street, a few doors down from Spice Market. Aer, a swanky “Super Lounge” with a waterfall entrance and a Japanese garden, will open to the public late this fall. Private members will be able to access a downstairs area called Aether, which will have its own entrance as well as a business center. Both will serve Caribbean-inspired food. No word on whether Goya products will be used in the kitchen.
