Destination: Isle de France, St. Barth’s.
Activities: “After dinner, we run into our friends, like Russell Simmons and Donny Deutsch. Then we’re up at 7 a.m. to go hiking. When we get back at 2 p.m., everyone is just getting up or they’re lying on the beach with a hangover.”
Fashion staples: Sun hats. The bigger, the better. Eres bikinis and Hermès astrology bracelets.
Luggage: Goyard Tote Bag and L.L. Bean.
Reading Material: Zadie Smith’s “On Beauty.”
Shopping: Hermès, Raffia, Lacoste and Calypso.
Favorite spots: “L’Esprit Des Salines, Maya and lunch at Taiwana.”
Most looking forward to: “[Daughter] Storey went out yesterday with the Perelman family on their big boat and went tubing.”
Destination: The Adirondacks. “My parents’ house at the Ausable Club.”
Activities: Downhill and cross-country skiing, dogsledding, bobsledding, ice skating, snow shoeing.
Fashion staples: Sorel boots and a raccoon coat.
Luggage: “T. Anthony and some fake Louis Vuitton.”
Favorite Shop: “The Keene Valley Grocery.”
Destination: Miami at the Standard.
Fashion staples: “Lots of drawstrings, tank tops and flip-flops.”
Reading material: “The last four issues of Vanity Fair, Joan Didion’s ‘The Year of Magical Thinking’ and Zadie Smith’s ‘On Beauty.’ And Hilton Als just sent me ‘Beasts of No Nation’ by Uzodinma Iweala.”
Luggage: Tumi Roll-on.
Most looking forward to: “Sitting in the sun with no Blackberry and no cell phone.”

Destination: Southampton and the Lyford Cay Club in Nassau.
Activities: “In Southampton, we’ll make a big fire, pull out the Spode Christmas tree dishes, vintage stockings and decorations and eat a big turkey from Catena.”
Reading material: Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood.”
Fashion staples: “Corduroys and cashmere for Southampton. For Lyford, I’ll pack up my white pants, Eres bikinis and wraps and a beaded pink Oscar de la Renta gown for New Year’s.”
Luggage: One Louis Vuitton suitcase, and a carry-on denim and red leather Hogan bag.
Most looking forward to: “Seeing our friends from Europe, taking 4-mile aerobic walks, strolling on the beach, playing tennis, having curried chicken salads served in a pineapple by the pool and sleeping under a big straw hat and an umbrella around the pool.”
Destination: The Bahamas. “Our boat. An Italian Apreamare, named ‘Eau de Vie.'”
Activities: Snorkeling, waterskiing and swimming.
Fashion Staples: “A Tracy Feith dress, Jimmy Choo flat sandals, a white Bottega Veneta bag, a Christian Lacroix dress, Eres bikini, Hermès canvas tote and a Lanvin straw hat.”
Luggage: T. Anthony
Destination: The Bahamas. “We’re staying at the Ocean Club with 22 of my family members. It was organized by my mother. God bless her!”
Activities: “Tennis, deep-sea fishing and hopefully building sand castles with the kids.”
Shopping: “I love to try to buy things from local vendors, but if I win at roulette, I will shop everywhere.”
Reading material: “Michael Gross’ ‘740 Park’ and catching up on my fashion magazines.”
Luggage: “Tricky. I am trying to decide which stroller to take: The Bugaboo or the Maclaren.”
Fashion staples: Kate Spade handbag, Allegra Hicks tunics, Marc Jacobs bathing suit and J. Crew cashmere sweaters.
JOANNE DE GUARDIOLA
Destination: Palm Beach. “Our own home, an old Addison Mizner.”
Fashion staples: Carolina Herrera & Andrew Gn.
Reading Material: “Alexander Hamilton” by Ron Chernow.
Looking forward to: “Hanging out with our 10-year-old twins, decorating the Christmas tree with them, taking them to ‘King Kong.’ Plus Monopoly, tennis, swimming and long walks on the beach with my husband.”
YVONNE FORCE VILLAREAL
Destination: “Marfa, Texas for Christmas and Cuernavaca, Mexico, for New Year’s.”
Activities: “Scrabble, sleep and screenings.”
Fashion staples: “Black lizard cowboy boots for the ranch; Dior gown for our dinner party on Dec. 31. Bathing suits from Tuleh and Calvin Klein and a few Fendi furs and Spy bags.”
Luggage: “The largest Tumi bag ever made and I carry on my black fur Dolce & Gabbana handbag.”
Reading material: “Veronica” by Mary Gaitskill and “A Million Little Pieces” by James Frey.
Favorite spots: Prada Marfa (“a public sculpture I produced through Art Production Fund”) and The Temezcal bath at Mission Del Sol spa.
Most looking forward to: “Running around the garden, chilling out by the pool by day with my son and drinking a few margaritas.”
Destination: “My parents’ house in Palm Beach.”
Activities: Relaxing on the beach, swimming, hanging out with family and playing tennis.
Fashion staples: Lily Holt coral flip-flops, a Shoshanna bikini, YSL espadrilles, Earnest Sewn crop white knee-length shorts.
Luggage: Olive green Filson.
Reading material: Norman Mailer’s “The Executioner’s Song.” (“It is so long, it will definitely last me through my week’s vacation.”)
