LOS ANGELES — Lauren Hutton donned black bike shorts and Veronica Webb sported Adidas stripes for the first 3.1-mile Revlon Run/Walk, held last Saturday at Fox Studios in Century City here. The event raised $500,000 for breast and ovarian cancer research.
The turnout included Revlon president Jerry Levin. Actor Pierce Brosnan hosted the event, which attracted Lilly Tartikoff, a founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program — one of the beneficiaries of the event — Fox’s Lucie Salhany, Sally Fields and numerous TV personalities.
A large number of the 8,000 participants ran to honor loved ones who had battled the diseases. Many wore simple black or gray cotton leggings with official event T-shirts. The more daring women opted for skin-tight bodysuits or sport bras with hip-hugger shorts in shades of pink, red and purple. The Adidas look was also prevalent in white-striped pants, basketball-style tank tops and shorts and V-neck jerseys.
Also benefiting from the event was the Wellness Community and the Iris Cantor Center for Breast Imaging.
