“It’s very, very, very, very erotic,” von Furstenberg said, slowly emphasizing each “very.” “I was actually floored. It truly reminded me of when I was a little girl and I read the “Story of O,” which is a book that I adored. [“Obsession”] is not a book for guys. It’s very much of a woman’s fantasy, but it’s brilliant.” The designer may have been surprised by just how much sex was in the tome, but it takes more than a little titillation to embarrass her. “No,” she said, “I don’t blush.”
