On Monday afternoon, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos turned the living room of her Park Avenue pad into a makeshift runway for a lunch and pre-spring fashion show in honor of current Ungaro designer Esteban Cortazar.

“I’ve never had models in my kitchen before,” said the hostess of the impromptu backstage area where catwalkers primped amid various appliances. “My teenage nephews are staying with me this summer and they were very upset they couldn’t be here to personally supervise.”

Those who were there to witness included Jennifer Creel, Maggie Rizer, Emilia Fanjul Pfeifler, Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti and Janne Lombardo – who helped design a yet-to-be-available eyeshadow palette for MAC made expressly to match Cortazar’s designs.
