On stage Fergie may belt out lyrics like “Let’s get it started,” but Wednesday night the singer took her time making it to the dinner MAC hosted for her and D Squared designers Dean and Dan Caten.
She arrived to new restaurant Café Select over an hour after the 9 p.m. call time, though she had been working all day with the cosmetics brand visiting area schools.
While they waited for the performer, the crowd, which included Taylor Momsen, Ashanti, Cornelia Guest, Natasha Bedingfield and Jacquetta Wheeler, snuck off to the smoking room (which is actually more the size of a crawl space) for cigarettes.
Dinner at the narrow eatery, which is across from La Esquina, consisted of rich Austrian fare like veal and spaetzle, which should fortify the designing Catens for their upcoming trip to the Toronto Film Festival.
