Pre-Oscar Festivities Kick Off

On Wednesday evening in Hollywood, James Cameron and wife Suzy Amis Cameron hosted environmental nonprofit Global Green’s annual pre-Oscar party at Avalon. Jessica Alba, Serena Williams, Lydia Hearst and Radha Mitchell took in performances by Good Charlotte and actress-turned-singer Mia Maestro.

“It’s really an awesome opportunity to build new awareness around our relationship with one another and the planet,” said Amis Cameron of green initiatives (no doubt she was also referring to the themes in her husband’s film “Avatar”).

A few blocks away, Marisa Tomei, Heather Graham and Daryl Hannah stepped out for the opening of the ManifestEquality Gallery. Featured artists including Shephard Fairey, Barry McGee, Harvey Pekar and Tierney Gearon schmoozed in the pop-up space, a converted Big Lots supermarket.
