Proenza Parties Downtown

Barneys New York hosted a dinner Thursday night to celebrate Proenza Schouler's foray into handbags (the first style to hit shelves is cleverly called PS 1).

Downtown, Barneys New York feted Proenza Schouler’s foray into handbags. And where designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez go, a tribe of cool chicks follow. Mary-Kate Olsen, Chloë Sevigny, Vanessa Traina, Amy Greenspon and Julia Restoin Roitfeld packed into Il Buco for an Italian feast (in line with the group’s partying reputation, there were shots of tequila and a lot of smoke breaks).

Two days after the presidential election, McCollough was getting into the spirit, calling their bags “democratic. You can be a size two or size 26.”
