Prepare for more Jacob Tremblay cuteness. The nine-year-old “Room” actor who has taken the awards circuit by storm has been revealed as one of the presenters who will dole out awards this Saturday at the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Additionally, “Saturday Night Live” alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will present Carol Burnett with her lifetime achievement award.
Redmayne is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, for his portrayal of Einar Wegener/Lili Elbe in “The Danish Girl.” Larson and Tremblay are both up for their performances in “Room,” while Silverman earned her first SAG nomination for her leading role in “I Smile Back.”
Tremblay has been quite the star of the awards shows thus far. Like a seasoned red carpet strutter, he wore a custom Ralph Lauren tuxedo to the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10. But it was his acceptance speech for Best Young Actor at the Critic’s Choice Awards on Jan. 17 that really made him the crush of this season’s awards. “I want to thank my parents, and I love them very much,” he told the crowd from the stage, before hoisting up his award and declaring, “I know where to put this, right on the shelf, right beside my Millennium Falcon.”
