Hollywood showed its fashionable allegiances Thursday night at a flurry of stylish soirees. First at Ralph Lauren’s Rodeo Drive boutique, where Step Up Women’s Network and Vanity Fair hosted a girlie fall preview, prepsters Jessica Capshaw, Jessica Alba and Sarah Foster searched for merch. “I’m all Polo-ed out tonight,” announced Capshaw, making her only stop for the evening.
Downstairs, the other Jessica — Alba — tried to shake her tomboy image. “I’m usually a jeans and T-shirt girl, but my fiancé said it would be nice to see me in a dress once in a while,” she sighed.

After clinking champagne glasses with the Ralph Lauren set, Jamie Tisch and Ivana Milicevic pulled a U-turn and Milicevic proved herself a full-throttle fashionista. “I changed from a Ralph top into a Gucci top in the car,” she said as they arrived at Gucci, across the street. “I hope I put it on correctly.”
A similarly sleek-looking crowd, including Shiva Rose McDermott, Ryan Haddon and Claire Forlani, were there to meet the duo and to celebrate AIDS Project Los Angeles’ 20th anniversary. Meanwhile, mere blocks away, the vintage-clad crowd — Jacqui Getty, Donovan Leitch, Kirsty Hume and China Chow — toasted the opening of Gina Shoes’ first L.A. store with martinis.
