At the Art of Elysium’s Heaven gala, held across the street from the Beverly Hilton in the old Robinson May parking lot, youth was the name of the game. Honorees Kirsten Dunst and Shepard Fairey were joined by a slew of other young stars to support the children’s charity, along with sponsors Boucheron, MSN, Relativity Media and Vogue.
Elysium board chairman and Relativity Media chief Ryan Kavanugh challenged each table to fill out donation cards on the spot (which he matched), then tallied them in front of the crowd and even called out Kate Bosworth for not filling one out. Alas, she didn’t have her credit card in her micro evening bag, but whispered the amount of her gift in his ear.
After dinner and a Vogue fashion show in the space, which was transformed by Fairey’s wallpaper into a concrete gallery filled with long metal dinner tables, the spry crowd, including Rumer Willis, Jessica Szhor, Ed Westwick, Emilie De Ravin, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Alba, Ali Larter, Katy Perry, Nicole Richie, Camilla Belle, Joy Bryant and Ashley Olsen headed outside to hear Billy Idol perform. “I’m bummed he didn’t play White Wedding,” exclaimed Joy Bryant, who was still happy to brave the chill and mingle into the wee hours.
