Caleigh Peters, the 16-year-old daughter of producers Jon Peters and Christine Peters, has become a special correspondent for the entertainment news show “Extra.” The blonde, blue-eyed beauty has already taped interviews with her godmother, Barbra Streisand; teen queen Hilary Duff, and Orlando Bloom’s steady girlfriend, Kate Bosworth, who is playing Sandra Dee to Kevin Spacey’s Bobby Darin in the upcoming movie “Beyond the Sea.” She will also interview the too-hot-to-cool-down Lindsay Lohan, who will be starring in Caleigh’s mommy’s next film, “Fashionistas.”
To celebrate Caleigh’s success, Christine gave a small viewing party at her Bel Air place to check out Caleigh’s interview with Barbra, who was there in the flesh with her husband James Brolin. Caleigh dressed for the party in a Jennifer Nicholson dress (she is Jack Nicholson’s designing daughter). Caleigh’s a fashionista at heart and has designers everywhere wanting to dress her. So far, for her spots on “Extra” she’s worn the clothes of Matthew Williamson and Stella McCartney. Youth, your magic spell is everywhere.

On Oct. 19, Rosita Marlborough, also known as the Duchess of Marlborough, will have the first New York exhibition of her oil paintings at the gallery of Lars Bolander, the Swedish antiques dealer and designer whose gallery is located in the Meatpacking District, an ocean away from the old Marlborough family stately home, Blenheim Palace, where Rosita maintains her studio. Even now she is putting the finishing touches on her canvases, a huge selection of abstracts, portraits and paintings in the bold colors she is known for. Joining her for the New York opening will be Sunny, also known as the Duke of Marlborough, and their two children, Lord Edward and Lady Alexandra Spencer-Churchill, whom she dearly loves. She also loves her dogs Jessie, Joe and Jim, but they can’t make it.
“Alfie” is coming to town and just so you don’t forget it, Jude Law’s handsome face is plastered on every bus stop in Manhattan. Jude will host a screening at Soho House as part of their Grand Classics series on Oct. 19. This is when Yves Saint Laurent will launch its new fragrance, Cinema, an homage to the most beautiful movie stars of the Fifties. Among those expected are Jude’s co-stars in the flick, Sienna Miller, Susan Sarandon, Marisa Tomei, and Jane Krakowski, who admitted that none of them had any problems filming the love scenes in the movie. “We all wanted to be seduced by Jude. We were very willing participants.” Pushovers.
Sienna’s career is taking off right along with Jude’s. She is now in Venice filming “Casanova,” with Heath Ledger and Jeremy Irons and is in negotiations to play nightlife legend and Warhol muse Edie Sedgwick in the upcoming movie “Factory Girl.”
Princess Anne de Bourbon-Sicilies, once the muse of the great Balenciaga so you know she has to be chic, will arrive in New York from Paris for the Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala on Oct. 5 at the Waldorf and will be staying with her friend Nancy Corzine, the gala chairman. This year’s 25th anniversary celebration, Beauty Under the Big Top, will honor Maria Shriver and Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Rita Hayworth’s daughter. Among the glittering names attending will be Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, Carroll Petrie, and, of course, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, who is Maria’s mother. Maria’s husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, can’t make it. He’s too busy in California.
Graydon Carter and his lovely fiancée Anna Scott, along with Jim Wiatt, the William Morris president, and his wife Elizabeth are hosting a soiree and Eco-Salon, which is the new It-word for a speaker/discussion, at an exclusive cocktail party at Graydon’s TriBeCa loft next week. This is part of the Natural Resources Defense Council’s coast-to-coast effort to raise awareness of the environmental crisis America is facing. This selective group will gather to hear guest speaker Bobby Kennedy, author of the new best-selling book “Crimes Against Nature,” speak passionately about the topic.
Elizabeth Wiatt, fast becoming Hollywood’s first lady of the environment — she has everyone from Cameron Diaz to Meg Ryan on the NRDC’s board — is then heading back to California, where she and Gigi Grazer, movie mogul Brian Grazer’s wife, will give an Eco-Salon luncheon at the Grazer residence sponsored by Ralph Lauren Fragrances. Expected at the ladies-only lunch are such actresses, activists and moms as Kelly Lynch, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rita Wilson, Sheryl Crow, Julia Sorkin, Laurie David, Jamie Tisch, Kelly Meyer and Demi Moore, all concerned about pollution, mercury and pesticides. Take that, Jackie Collins.
Jennifer Garner took Ben Affleck home to Charleston, W. Va., to meet her parents and celebrate their third month of dating. The happy couple had Sunday dinner with the family, including Jen’s mother Pat, an English teacher; her father Bill, a retired chemical engineer, and her two sisters. This moves the romance up a peg or two. They met four years ago and got a lot closer when they made “Daredevil” two years ago, but love didn’t blossom until this summer, when Ben was finished with the other Jen, about which debacle you’ve already heard ad nauseum.
Jamee Gregory, a co-chair of this year’s Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Preview Party for the International Fine Arts and Antique Dealers show at the Park Avenue Armory on Oct. 21, is thrilled to report that the committee, which includes such do-gooders as Coco Kopelman, Pat Buckley, Nan Kempner, Jamie Niven, Evelyn Lauder, Emilia Fanjul and Blaine Trump, have sold over $800,000 worth of tickets toward their goal of raising a million. Bill Blass and Graff, co-sponsors of the night, have both given $50,000. Seventy-five famous dealers from around the world will showcase $500 million worth of rare collectibles for your delectation.
Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford have taken their traveling love affair to Barcelona, where they have been pictured strolling hand in hand on the cobblestone streets, stealing kisses in doorways, visiting Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral and staring at each other over candlelit dinners. One night after dessert Harrison entertained their fans, who are always on hand, by throwing Calista over his shoulder and dumping her into a dumpster. Is that ever funny? Ha, ha, ha, ha.
While Calista is on set filming the thriller “Fragile,” Harrison takes her three-year-old son Liam to the park, where he pushes him on the swing and cheers him up when he cries. This little happy family is cherishing its time together because Harrison soon has to head to Canada to begin filming “The Wrong Element” with Paul Bettany, who is nowhere as cute as Calista.
