Leave it to Lela Rose to bring presidential daughters Barbara and Jenna Bush out on the town. At a cocktail party jewelry designer James de Givenchy and Celerie Kemble threw on Thursday in honor of the Texan designer, for whom Barbara interned this summer, the twins — with a posse of friends in tow — mingled with New York’s young social set at Givenchy’s Madison Avenue showroom. Among the guests were Emilia Fanjul Pfeifler and her reunited parents Emilia and Pepe Fanjul, Marina Rust, Shoshanna Lonstein and Marjorie Gubelmann. If Secret Service agents were there, they were impossible to detect, blending perfectly into the well-heeled crowd.
“They’re so normal and down to earth,” gushed one guest of the twins, who were in town for a few days. Their father, President Bush, delivered his speech to the United Nations earlier in the day.
