In July, the ladies — and gentlemen — who power lunch pack Manhattan’s hot spots before hightailing it out of town for their August vacations. At the Mercer Kitchen, Iman and Trish Goff filed in wearing casual summer ensembles, while uptown at Swifty’s, social stalwarts Pat Buckley and Pauline Pitt proved that some women still dress to the nines at noon. Exiting the Four Seasons Grill Room, Mario Cuomo, Al Sharpton, Lou Dobbs and Henry Kissinger modeled their power suits before slipping into their town cars, and around the corner at Lever House, David Lauren, who was lunching with Harper Bazaar’s Glenda Bailey, showed off his preppy style in a Ralph Lauren blazer and lemon-colored pants paired with mandals. “Is there still style in New York?” he inquired. All signs point to yes.
