Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna (with daughter Lourdes in tow), Krysten Ritter, Hilary Rhoda and Melissa George were some of the lithe guests to attend Wednesday’s Bent on Learning benefit, which was sponsored by Alice and Olivia and held at The Puck Building in Soho. The charity, which helps bring yoga instruction to public schools, was introduced to many of the A-listers in attendance (including Paltrow and Madge) by yogi Eddie Stern, a member of Bent on Learning’s board of directors.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take much to get guests at the event, which included a short cocktail reception followed by a dinner, gushing about the benefits of downward facing dogs. “Yoga keeps me centered,” cooed Ritter, whose workout routine also includes spinning. “It’s great for kids to learn, especially New York City kids.”

“Yoga is a place where you can connect with mind, body and spirit on a mat,” added Donna Karan. “I started it when I was 18 and that was three years ago,” she deadpanned.
Towards the night’s end, Sean Lennon’s band, “The Ghost of the Saber Toothed Tiger” performed a set.
