Glamour’s Cindi Leive enlisted the assistance of Louis Vuitton Thursday night to celebrate the magazine’s “Most Glamorous” issue. Unsurprisingly, guests including cover girls Zoe Saldana and Amanda Seyfried, Emma Roberts and Rashida Jones did not disappoint. (In part because Vuitton was certain to outfit nearly every body in attendance.)
“It’s been really fun to play with fashion in a way I’ve never done before. I’m trying to have fun with it and not take it too seriously,” said Anna Kendrick, a Best Supporting Actress nominee for “Up in the Air.” “But I’m definitely getting sick of people touching me.”
After cocktails on the ground level of the brand’s Rodeo Drive store, guests ascended to the rooftop where there were four tables flush with peonies, roses, lilacs, ranunculus and candles. Sometime around the third course of the four course meal by XIV chef Michael Mina, Corinne Bailey Rae played a short acoustic set. She sang her hit “Put Your Records On” and a sweetly seductive version of “I Only Have Eyes for You.” “Are the stars out tonight,” she began softly. In a word, yes.
