Darcy Miller, the editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings, kicked off her new do-it-yourself book, “Our Wedding Scrapbook” (HarperCollins), with three parties worthy of any nuptials: a lunch at the new restaurant The Modern at MoMA, thrown by pals Aerin Lauder and Annette Lauder that brought out Kate Spade, Marina Rust and Tory Burch; a bash at the Four Seasons restaurant (the site of Miller’s actual wedding in 2001) hosted by her parents,
Martin and Madge Miller, and Vera Wang that had Dylan Lauren; her History Channel-host boyfriend, Josh Bernstein, and Celerie Kemble all dishing about weddings, and, on Tuesday night, a cocktail party at Tiffany’s benefiting Evelyn Lauder’s breast cancer charity that had wedding industry types such as Angel Sanchez, Reem Acra, Preston Bailey and Sylvia Weinstock snacking on tiny grilled-cheese sandwiches, burgers, and French fries with cones made of art from the book.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Miller, who has been making scrapbooks since she was a child, will soon be making a personal scrapbook to commemorate everything about the publication of the wedding book. To that end, she has saved invitations, place cards and menus from each of her parties. As the fete at Tiffany’s was winding to an end, Miller chased down the caterer. “Where are those French fry cones?” she asked him. “I need one for my scrapbook.”
