LOS ANGELES — High-thread-count sheets don’t have a monopoly on sleep-time luxury.
Jeena Hunget created Body Linens three years ago to satisfy consumers looking for quality fabrics between the sheets. The elevated-thread-count pajamas line, based in Jefferson City, Mo., has so far only been available at Bodylinens.com, but Hunget plans to launch wholesale distribution this year.
“It is time to branch out and have it available to more people,” said Hunget, a stay-at-home mom who first got the idea for Body Linens while shopping for bedding 10 years ago. “High-thread-count sheets have really revolutionized the way people shop for sheets, and we want to revolutionize the way people shop for pajamas.”
Hunget has expanded the line’s assortment to ready Body Linens, which uses Egyptian cotton fabrics milled in Italy, for stores. The fall collection supplements Body Linen’s original 300-, 500- and 800-thread-count options with 600- and 1,000-thread-count varieties. The color palette has moved beyond white to include dusty rose, pistachio, khaki, silver and lavender.
Retail prices range from $75 to $325. In addition to its signature women’s pajamas, Body Linens offers a nightie, cami pajamas, spa robes, men’s pajamas and men’s lounge pants.
